Whether you’re scoring a match for the first time or digging into advanced features, these guides will help you along the way. Below you’ll find clear, step-by-step walkthroughs for the most common tasks in CricKids.
Simple walk-throughs for common tasks in CricKids.
Use this guide to help you set up a game and confidently score each ball in CricKids, from the first delivery to the final result.
You can see the screenshots of each step on the How-it-works page.
Whether it’s an injury, a quick break, or a planned rotation, CricKids lets you substitute a player mid-over without disrupting the flow of the game.
Mistakes happen, but CricKids makes it easy to correct them:
If you are a member of a shared team, you can keep track of the game in real-time:
This feature allows you to enter game results that were not scored in CricKids or
games that occured in previous seasons.
Now that you've entered results from previous seasons, you can generate new sccoresheets and
season stats PDFs.
When you finish scoring a game, you can select a 'Player of the Day' and 'Outstanding Effort'. This step can be skipped when scoring. You can easily go back and edit these selections later:
You can create your own custom 'Scoring Profile' from the Settings tab
You can 'share' teams with other parents/coaches. This allows others to score games for the
team you've created, view live games in progress as they are being scored and view player, season and team
stats. Sharing teams also allows others to generate scoresheets and team reports.
If changes are made to historical games, these changes will be cloud-synced. Next time you view
the team in the Teamsview, the updated data will be synced with your
device.
Once another parent/coach accepts the invite, they will be able to access the team. You will
see their name appear under the Members section.
By default, new members are added as 'Viewers'. This gives them permission to view game data, track live
games and view player, season and team stats. They do not have permission to edit the team's game data,
player roster or team info.
Your can 'promote' members to 'Scorers' in the Team Members section - simply tap the
Make Scorer button to promote 'Viewers' to 'Scorers'.
'Scorers' have permission to score games for the team, edit historical game data and generate scoresheets
and team reports (only the team 'Owner' can edit the team's player roster or team info).
If you have been invited to join a shared team, you will have received an invite link from a parent or coach. To join this team:
If you created a team and have shared it with other parents/coaches, you can promote members
to 'Scorers' in the Team Members section - simply tap the Make Scorer
button to promote 'Viewers' to 'Scorers'.
'Scorers' have permission to score games for the team, edit historical game data and generate scoresheets and team reports (only the team 'Owner' can edit the team's player roster or team info).
The 'Settings' section allows you to configure default game settings such as default number of overs per innings, whether runs from tee-shots count towards the game score, your cricket season window and scoring profiles.
You can now assign this new custom scoring profile to a team from the Edit Team view (see above)
